Hi Harley here, yesterday we got loads of fruit so I decided to draw some. Its not really a still life because I just drew it from my imagination next time I shall draw the fruit from the bowl as a comparison.

A little visiter

Hi harley here, today my little sister Xena is also putting a picture on.You may have seen this picture earlier because my Mum has put it on before ( we all did the same picture one afternoon ). A brown painting

Hi Harley here, I've been very busy doing drawing and painting's :-) but for today i'm going t put on a painting that just uses brown paint,first doing any light things like the sky then making the paint a bit darker to do the hills in the background and then even darker to do the birds and rock. have a good evening. I Need to Crack This

Hi everyone, It's me again because Harley is very busy (huh hum).
Anyway, yesterday my lovely husband bought me an encaustic iron and some waxes as I've been really wanting to try encaustic art for a while now.
I had watched a few demos on you tube and it looked so easy, glide the iron across with the wax on, twist it and turn it in different ways and dab it here and there and you have a masterpiece... Well they did... It wasn't quite like that for me. I couldn't wait to get started, I used watercolour paper and although not masterpieces and the fact that like anything else when you see an expert do something it looks easy and I was a bit clumsy with it, I absolutely enjoyed it and shall keep practising. So here are my first attempts of encaustic art.

Dragon Quest

Hi everyone, so far we have no snow but I'm sure it wont be long it's soo cold. On the bright side that means more time keeping warm indoors so should get some drawing done.

Spotty shorts

Hi Harley here, Today I'm doing a picture that's a bit like the one I did the other day it's of a fashion model but this time she's wearing a pair of spotty shorts and a t-shirt. I have coloured this one in. I couldn't get her hip's right ( one alway's end's up bigger ) :-)

A Ram

Hi Harley here, and today I'm posting a picture of a ram that I did in coloured pencils a couple of years ago, It's mainly coloured in browns but there is some purple in there as well, I did this with a grid that my sister drew over for me and showed me how to use it, doing the picture like this was the first time I'd used a grid,there's also a picture to show how it's meant to be.

Fashion Model
